photoblog image Goodbye, Bruges

Goodbye, Bruges

It was quite obvious that the town center was almost full of tourists and locals catering to tourism. It was a memorable trip altogether.

This is a very attractive image, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you find it so, Ray.
quite like the setup and perspective of this.
Ayush Basu: Quite an unmissable building on those streets, Rob.
Good use of the wide angle Ayush.
Ayush Basu: I imagine some would not approve of all the bent/distorted lines, Frank.
Great perspective on this!
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you find it so, Elizabeth.
Une photo grand angle bien sympa.
Au revoir Bruges.
Bonne journée à  toi Ayush
Ayush Basu: I like what this lens can show, Pascale. Merci!

A fine viewpoint showing the different styles of boilings. The No Entry road sign could easily be missed by those unfamiliar with the roads, I should think.
Ayush Basu: I think you made a good remark about the no entry, Alan.

I love the statue of Our Lady on the corner, as one so often sees I Europe.
Ayush Basu: I did not think of it as such but I agree with you, Chad.
A very dutch looking scene Ayush
Ayush Basu: Those stepped gables appeal to me highly, Bill.
The effect from the lens is remarkable here.
Ayush Basu: It can really show some unusual angles and with some perspective distortion, Mary.
Looks to be the perfect building to have in this corner position, Ayush. Great shot from this angle.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the kind comment, Beverly.
A place I will like to visit again.
Ayush Basu: I share your sentiment, Brian.

Ayush Basu: I am pleased to have shown the windmills, Ginnie.
i'm glad you had a good trip, thanks for sharing it with us!

Very typical Brugge. I remember this antique shop.

When in Brugge, the taxi's are not allowed to charge more than 5 euro, as long as your trip remained within the centre.
Ayush Basu: I did not know about the taxi fare but it does make sense, Louis. No doubt you covered most/all ground on foot.
Yes, it's some years since I visited Bruges, but it was certainly full of tourists.
