CNY-Rat-1

Lunar New Year or Chinese New Year is upon us - this time it is the year of the rat. Originating in mainland China, it is generally supposed to be the first new moon between 21 January and 20 February. Due to the Chinese communities, it has found its way also in North America and Europe.

Keep safe from the horrible virus Ayush.
Ayush Basu: The health administration seems to be on top of things, Chad.

That looks like a happy mouse to me, Ayush. But then a happy rat is fine too. I think this New Year will be a different year, fighting the virus now...
Ayush Basu: It looks rather serious in China, Astrid.
Happy New year Ayush, I read that the celebrations have been somewhat curtailed this year because of the awful virus.
Ayush Basu: Thank you. The health administration here seems to be on top of things, Brian.
Somewhat blighted this year, lets hope things are contained.
Keep healthy and eat wisely.
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Martin. The health administration here seems to be on top of things.

Ayush Basu: I am pleased you like it, CP.

So many in China will not be able to celebrate in the usual way, Ayush
Ayush Basu: True, millions of travel plans have been forcefully cancelled, Lisl.

I think many people who are travelling to China for the celebrations are now having second thoughts because f the deadly virus.
Ayush Basu: It does not look encouraging for the travellers, Alan.
This is brilliant, Ayush...feeling so cheerful for the start of the New Year!
Ayush Basu: It is indeed cheerful although the recent illnesses have dampened the mood, Ginnie.
