BMX Joy

I will be posting a few shots that have been languishing in my archive folder... to the point that I recall very little about the events.

This was taken at a BMX event at a spot in eastern Singapore, some time in 2010, which since has already been re-developed.

Very good! Are you also competing, Ayush?
Ayush Basu: Now that you mention it, I am reminded of the time we went cycling at Pulau Ubin, Ray. It was a nice experience and I enjoyed our day long conversation.

You are going down memory lane, Aysuh. It's good to look back on our old picteres
Ayush Basu: I would think I made some improvements as a photographer, Lisl smile

The site has been developed and the lad has possibly grown to become the president of an international bank..
Ayush Basu: You know you could really be spot on, Chris!
Up to your tricks even back then, Ayush! smile
Ayush Basu: Ooppss, caught out by you, Ginnie! grin
nice action shot! looks like fun! my little brother used to ride like that smile in the snow lol
Ayush Basu: I have no doubt he would, Elaine. There just is something about boys that age. On my way back from work, I often pass a skate park and see lot of youngsters doing their thing.

Great action here and I think he knows how to balance just great.
I am looking forward to the series.
Ayush Basu: It is not obvious from my shot, but this was a competitive event, Astrid, so he was really of a high level.
I hear it is rapidly getting warm in the Netherlands. Hope both of you are well hydrated.

The colours are very striking Ayush.
Ayush Basu: I am pretty sure that in that period of time, I had virtually no conception of calibrating a camera or a monitor and had no workflow process to speak of, Chad. In fact I see that I am even shooting on P mode.

Take off...
Ayush Basu: And also a safe, controlled touchdown, Louis.
Colourful scene
Ayush Basu: I cannot recall what kind of post processing I might have done, Martin.
Things don't stand still for long!
Ayush Basu: In Singapore, the pace of change is indeed rapid, Bill. Whether this change is always appreciated or not, that can be debated.
Good shot Ayush, the local council have built a track liek this for the young people in our town to spend their time.
Ayush Basu: I am sure youngsters anywhere in the world would appreciate it, Brian.
He looks to be very competitive, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Oh yes, he was quite experienced and skilled at this, Beverly.
An "historic" shot, then smile
Ayush Basu: I hope I have come quite some way as an amateur photographer since then, Tom, and also thanks to the constructive critique to SC-ers!
