Transport by Air 1

Singapore's Changi Airport is all set to get a spanking new Terminal 5. And it will be big. In addition to the Mega port at Tuas, this is another of Singapore’s infrastructure projects to help position the nation for the future. At 1,000 hectares, the development site will also include a new third runway. Slated to be completed by 2030, it will give the capability to handle annually 50 to 70 million passengers a year.

That landing gear looks a little suspect, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Most likely explained by the fact that not one single pixel in this image is in sharp focus, Ray grin
Hmmmmm.... approaching aircraft, sure.... but from what planet???
Ayush Basu: I like your comment, Elizabeth. smile

A great image Ayush!
Ayush Basu: Not very original and something I stumbled upon by chance, Chris, but thank you.
Singapore is clearly a very go ahead country Ayush
Ayush Basu: Make no mistake, Bill, they expect to gain much on their investments.

I would never have guessed that this was an aircraft Ayush. Singapore don’t mess around over infrastructure projects like Britain does.
Ayush Basu: They certainly do not want to be left behind in getting a slice of the pie, Chad - make no mistake, they expect to gain much on their investments.
I have no excuse for being so slack in my commenting. I’ll do better... Terrific abstract!
Ayush Basu: Thank you for dropping by and likewise, I will visit your page, Larry.

When the picture opened, I start wiping the smudge, until I read about landing gear.

I saw a Dutch TV journal program the other day, where it was claimed that the Netherlands (and the rest of the world) is fast running out of airport capacity. They quoted figures from all over the world.
Ayush Basu: smile
I would have thought that this industry was heading towards saturation and maturity, Louis.

Your picture looks like a work of art ;-)
Ayush Basu: You are too kind, CP. But appearances can be deceiving tongue

Well, I will take your word for what it is smile I'm afraid Britain is a Third World country in comparison. We've been taking about a third runway at Heathrow for years and there is still no indication of when it will it will be built.
Ayush Basu: I imagine there is also diverging politics behind it, Alan.
i would not have known what it was Ayush... i was thinking more towards three weather balloons....petersmile
Ayush Basu: I can see your reasoning actually, Peter.
Something seems amiss, Ayush!
Ayush Basu: The passengers on the flight were blissfully unaware though, Tom!
