Ijsvogel Watermolen & Distillery 1

Graanbranderij de IJsvogel is a unique spot - a lovingly restored water-mill powered distillery, that produces over sixty types of bitters, genevers and liquers. Specialties such as cinnamon and coffee liqueur and the Ijsvogel whisky are very popular. This place opens from March till November before closing for the end of the year. A small outdoor cafe is operated and it is possible to take a guided tour through the mill and the distillery, for a small fee, that also includes a complimentary drink. The mill is a stone's throw away from the Arcen castle and, at one point of time, belonged to the owner of the castle.

Makes me recall that Kingfisher is a popular brand of beer in India...and I tasted it a few time last time I was there..
Ayush Basu: You are quite right, Ray - I had it too but it did not leave a memorable taste for me.
Certainement une belle visite. Jolie photo.
Ayush Basu: I was pleasantly surprised by this quite place tucked in its current location, Martine.

Ayush Basu: Sorry that I forgot to mention, Larry - it is a kingfisher.
Merci pour les explications et pour cette jolie photo dans une nuances d'ocres.
Bonne journée Ayush
Ayush Basu: Merci, Pascale. Pleased you like it. I liked the bright feel to this place although it was not that well illuminated.

I thought they were sacks of bird seed, Ayush!
Ayush Basu: Those sacks are used to bag the milled grains that are milled in here, Lisl.
This sounds an interesting and tasty place to visit Ayush.
This sounds like a great place to visit Ayush
Worth a visit I'd think - does ijsvogel mean kingfisher?
I like the kingfisher logo.
I really love your composition, Ayush! Nice info!
neat scene, Ayush... you must have had a LOT of photo ops!
