I had a day of wandering around Midtown Atlanta and I came across this place. Its architecture is heavily influnced by Islamic styles although this particular view may not suggest so. It was supposedly meant to be a Moorish shrine but was completed to be a lavish theatre in 1929. After the stock market crash, it too suffered financial misfortunes but recovered in the 40s. Today it is a performing arts centre and the ballrooms are often used for company events.
