Nahargarh Fort: City View

The rooftop terrace of the fort offers a wide view of the still relatively flat urban landscape. Over the past 300 years, this view must have changed slowly but steadily.

It gives a superb outlook, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: I imagine in the dome under the shade and with a gentle breeze, there would have been pleasant times spent there, Ray.
What a view! Nicely captured, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: It was just a frame and click attempt by me, Frank smile
Fantastic view...
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Larry.
That's what I would call "sprawling," Ayush!
Ayush Basu: Yes, the word is indeed appropriate here, Ginnie. Imagine a while under that canopy observing this city.
Wonderful view, Ayush!!
Ayush Basu: I would like some time in that canopy there, Elizabeth.

This is a fabulous view, Ayush. I have to say that the guard needs eagle eyes to spot the enemy...
Ayush Basu: Probably not an entire army that could seek refuge there, but yes maybe mercenaries and assassins, Astrid. You are right.
Quelle jolie vue !
Ayush Basu: Merci, Martine. Pleased you like it.

It is a vast place Ayush, just so many houses out there..
Ayush Basu: Certainly, Chris. But there would not be a comparable number of people in this region as the skyscrapers of Singapore or HK.

Overlooking the teeming masses below.
Ayush Basu: I imagine in the dome under the shade and with a gentle breeze, there would have been pleasant times spent there, Chad.
Très beau dôme et tout en bas la fourmilière humaine, c'est impressionnant.
Jolie compo.
Bonne journée
Ayush Basu: You should see the pictures of skyscrapers in Hong Kong and NY then, Pascale grin Thank you for the comment and a nice day to you too.

The little boxes, that are the houses, looks intriguing from up here. Got me thinking of Aladdin.
Ayush Basu: Yes, I suppose the dusty, sunny colour tones give that impression, Louis?
What a great view, right across to those mountains in the distance.
Ayush Basu: I imagine in the dome under the shade and with a gentle breeze, there would have been pleasant times spent there, Brain. There is a bit of a midday haze, but yes, one can see the mountains across.
Urban spread !
Ayush Basu: More horizontal than vertical, say in Hong Kong or Singapore.
It is a truly high vantage point.
Ayush Basu: I imagine in the dome under the shade and with a gentle breeze, there would have been pleasant times spent there, Mary.
An impressive sight, it is incredible to be able to observe how the houses go far beyond the horizon
Ayush Basu: I imagine in the dome under the shade and with a gentle breeze, there would have been pleasant times spent there, Claudio.
It now looks enormous!
Ayush Basu: Standing in that cupola and looking out would make one feel rather 'princely', I suppose, Tom.
The urban area is huge!
Ayush Basu: Not very vertical but yes, horizontally speaking, LC.

wow, what an impressive vantage point and i can't even fathom how many people must live there
Ayush Basu: I imagine in the dome under the shade and with a gentle breeze, there would have been pleasant times spent there, Sherri.
That is an awesome shot showing the expanse of the city.
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Michael. I just had to frame and shoot.

wow, it looks 'close' down there!! awesome view!
Ayush Basu: It does, Elaine, I agree. But owing to most houses being only two or three storeys high, I am still going estimate that it is not a huge number of citizens down there (if you compare the skyscrapers of Singapore, HK or NY).
