Superbe statue de cet éléphant.
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you like it, Martine.
It is very pretty!
Ayush Basu: I found it very eye catching and had to take a shot of it, Elizabeth.
Beautifully painted, indeed, Ayush. I was just hearing yesterday that if we're not careful, elephants will soon be extinct. God have mercy.
Ayush Basu: How right you are! The wild ones are more vulnerable but even the ones in closer contact with humans and the ones domesticated do not fare too well, Ginnie. These statues and pottery work may be all what is left of these majestic beasts in the coming years and decades.

Giving its best goodluck salute!
Ayush Basu: I am not too much of a believer in luck but I do like the salute, Ray.

I think elephants might be symbols of good luck
Ayush Basu: I think they need a good deal of luck themselves, Chris!

To glaze an object as big as this, they will need a really big oven.
Ayush Basu: I suppose it is one of those really huge furnaces in which they put in not only this but perhaps a batch of ten or twenty or even more, Louis. I could be wrong, however.
A great elephant. And one of a pair too
Ayush Basu: Yes, they made a nice scene on both sides of the stairs, Bill.
How beautiful.
Ayush Basu: I absolutely loved the two of them on both sides of the steps, Michael.

Wonderful! I like the way they preside over the stairway.
Ayush Basu: Exactly, Alan. I absolutely loved the two of them on both sides of the steps.
Wonderful
Ayush Basu: I am pleased with your response, Tom. Thank you.
So cute!
I bought a pair of wooden elephant statues from Thailand many many years ago. smile
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you think so, LC. I suppose you cherish them till today.
That's by far the greenest elephant I've seen Ayush! smile
Lovely capture... smile
Ayush Basu: Haha, same here, Sudipto. Thank you for the remark.
Looks like a happy elephant...
Ayush Basu: Alas, in real life, they have little to be happy about, I would say, Larry.
The elephant looks joyful smile
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much for the observation, CP.
