Onze Lieve Vrouwe Kerk, Kessel - 1

The Onze Lieve Vrouw Kerk is a church in the city (it may appear to be small enough to be considered a village, but it officially has city status) of Kessel in the Dutch province of Limburg. The church is located on elevated ground on the Maas.

And a timelapse on the bike from a section between Venlo to the next town, along the river Maas.

I like the symmetry of the church. The video makes it seem a lot safer than where Ray rides....
Ayush Basu: That was one of the things that attracted me, along with the appearance of the brick work, Frank. Yes, there are no sudden appearances of stray dogs.

beautiful architectural design

you had a terrific vantage point
Ayush Basu: I was pleased that this balcony was accessible, Sherri.
A beautiful image - I love the symmetry! Thanks for the bike ride!
Ayush Basu: I am pleased I could present this view, Elizabeth.
Joli point de vue sur cette belle église.
Ayush Basu: I was fortunate to be there at the right time, Martine.
That is a beautiful building.
Ayush Basu: Rebuilt after the WWII bombing, Michael.
Superbe photo, et sympa ce circuit en vélo. Tu me donnes l'idée 'installer la go-pro sur le mien lors d'une prochaine sortie.
Bonne journée Ayush
Ayush Basu: In that case, I am pleased, Pascale. I like the idea of compressing a longer ride into something that is one or two minutes.

A grand looking building and civilised cycling
Ayush Basu: Effortless to cycle here, Chris. One could actually get away with listening to music on earphones without paying attention to traffic sounds, although I would still not recommend that.
Your POV in the church is magnificent, Ayush. I'd love to visit it one day.

And how fun to think of you riding your bike from place to place like this. smile
Ayush Basu: If you are in this part of the NL, you could certainly pack it in with a couple of windmills and a castle, Ginnie - they are all coming up!

If this was a Roman Catholic Church you could celebrate mass on the Maas.
Ayush Basu: smile That was a good one, Chad.
haha, i couldn't watch the bike time lapse this time, coz it made my stomach feel queezy lol... i'm having a bout of anemia! normally i love those vids you make!
Ayush Basu: Uh oh, I hope you recover soon. It is just one of those rides that I do several times every month, Elaine.
Superb... love the symmetry!
Ayush Basu: It drew me in, Larry, and fortunately this balcony was open.
What a magnificent church. I really enjoyed the time lapse, good thing about Holland is no hills!
Ayush Basu: That was one of the things that attracted me, along with the appearance of the brick work, Brian. The south of Netherlands has some gentle rolling hills but yes, they are still relatively flat.

I like your time lapses. They make short work of the trips.

Great symmetry shows of the lines in the upper reaches of the church.
Ayush Basu: They give a compressed overview instead of an entire video, Louis.
A handsome building Ayush

I bet Alan Rolfe wishes he could ride that fast
Ayush Basu: That was one of the things that attracted me, along with the appearance of the brick work, Bill.
smile I sometimes Alan on the Strava app - he is pretty fast!

The church looks light and airy. The brickwork is interesting and unusual.
