Gone Home

A horse drawn carriage (tonga) is parked for the night. The horse is perhaps having a rest not too far from this location. The old town of Jodphur is very cramped and the existing narrow lanes have no possibility of expansion.

It looks like it is patiently waiting for a horse.
Ayush Basu: It was still a little early for the action of the day to commence, Michael.

En effet, les rues ont l'air très étroites.
Ayush Basu: I found them charming in the old town, Martine.
Superbe photo très bien composée et qui donne envie de s'avancer dans cette ruelle.
Bonne journée Ayush
Ayush Basu: Merci, Pascale. I can imagine the stories, the possibilities down this alley.

I can just imagine the cramped conditions from what you say, I thought that the cart may be human-powered rather than by horse.
Ayush Basu: I will have a shot of the horse in action, Alan.

Charming but primitive isn't it Ayush
Ayush Basu: And a lot of visitors throng here for its rustic charms, Chris.
Even this must struggle to get down some of the narrow alleys I imagine Ayush
Ayush Basu: You hit the nail on the head, Bill, as I will show soon.

This is a fabulous picture, Ayush. Love the light here in the picture.
Ayush Basu: It was early morning so the sun was coming up and the street lamp was still on, Astrid. Thank you very much.
It looks to be quite old, Ayush. A lovely image of it and the surrounding area.
Ayush Basu: Yes, the old town does not have much possibility of being modified, Beverley.
That blue is very distinctive in Jodphur.
Ayush Basu: You got that right, LC.

Have you ever had the chance to try one of these, Ayush?
Ayush Basu: No, Lisl, but we stayed in the old town and during our arrival and departure, we took an 'auto' (a motorized trishaw).
