Bukit Brown 10: Stern and Strong

It is not customary to paint the Sikh guard statues (or any statues for that matter). Apparently, the current generation considered it part of their obligations to start painting the statues among other upkeep activities at the tomb of their ancestors. I have seen a few more Sikh statues but these are the fiercest by far.

They certainly look angry at all the sightseers Ayush.
How interesting?!
Painted statues were standard in Ancient Greece, and some artists to do are producing them - I think it is a good idea smile

The painting brings out the details of the carving making them look fierce!
As Astrid would say, "Touch and you're dead!" smile

Yes, you would not want to mess for them. The paint adds to their form, I think, and gives them some "life".
