photoblog image Cheer!

Cheer!

Another from the unassigned folder.

The supporters from Malaysia were rather energetic.

And a totally unrelated scnelapse video. Regretfully, the exposure levels fluctuate a lot over this duration. At this moment, I have no idea how to avoid this in the future.

Very nice.
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Michael.
I love the crowd shot!
And the scenelapse is still fun, the exposure levels didn't bother me at all - in fact I might not have noticed...
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the encouraging remarks, Elizabeth. I am still trying to fiddle around with settings and approach towards generating a decent scenelapse, so I get less than satisfactory results at times.

I like this crowd scene, Ayush...really tearing up the stadium, eh! smile

Timelapse shot works just fine for me...I feels changing lighting is a part of the story the vid is telling.
Ayush Basu: Yes, pretty much all of them on their feet and making a racket, Ray.
Good point, I think!
Love the enthusiasm from the crowd. The timelapse is fine and I agree with Ray
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Bill, on both counts.

Lots of enjoyment in the spectators, Ayush
Ayush Basu: They were all on their feet and rather noisy, Lisl.
Crowd-watching is a sport unto itself, Ayush, which you have nicely captured here. And ditto what Ray has said on your scenelapse video.
Ayush Basu: I was actually focussing more on the pitch and the track, when the cheering from behind me forced me to turn around and grab this shot.
Thank you, Ginnie, on both accounts.

Nothing wrong with a little bit of cheering. It is goof when they show that they are excited!
The time lapse is wonderful, I like this kind of stuff.
Ayush Basu: Oh yes, I think I prefer them animated instead of all dejected and silent, Astrid.
I will have a few more scenelapses once in a while.

I think you can probably tell which team they were supporting 😊 I’m away from home at the moment and have a very slow internet connection; i’ll have to watch the video when I can find a faster connection.
Ayush Basu: We all have been at the mercy of poor connections at various times, Alan.

Nice shot of the cheering. About the scenelapse - when you move from one angle of sun to the next, exposure changes occur, unavoidably. The same happens when I shoot a panorama for stitching. The best chance of constant exposure levels is to shoot with the sun over your shoulder. However, that limits your sweep.
Ayush Basu: Good point, Louis. But I liked the effect of the clouds rolling (almost boiling over the sky). I will take your tip about keeping the sun to one side.

They want their team to win
Ayush Basu: They sure were very vocal about their preference, Chris.

The time lapse video is very good Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the kind comment, Chad.
Yay, go go Malaysia!
Ayush Basu: I knew you would say that, LC! smile

It makes such a difference to have support! Great capture Ayush.

The scene lapse is great.
Ayush Basu: I am still trying to fiddle around with settings and approach towards generating a decent scenelapse, so I get less than satisfactory results at times, Anne.
They're an enthusiastic lot!
Ayush Basu: They were certainly not short on enthusiasm, Tom.
an enthusiastic crowd Ayush... lots of smiling faces....petersmile
Ayush Basu: Yes, I liked that I got this shot because it makes this venue and event more memorable for me, Peter. Thank you.
A wow on your second part. I think an auto setting (shivers) might help.
Ayush Basu: I am still trying to fiddle around with settings and approach towards generating a decent scenelapse, so I get less than satisfactory results at times, Mary. I think I just might take your tip smile

i love the video even with the exposure changes... must have taken patience!
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Elaine. It was not too bad, I set it up and then read a book nearby! grin

They look like they are having a lot of fun.
Ayush Basu: I think so too, CP. It was a good study of supporters like them.
