These not too comfortable on the back chairs are seen at the upper level of Hokkien Kongsi. The Kongsi occupies part of the Hock Teik Cheng Sin Temple. Intricate artwork can be seen on the ceiling beams. Restoration work was carried out at the Hock Teik Cheng Sin. Today, this temple is symbolic of the values of the community and rituals conducted in a fashion very similar to what was practiced in the Fujian Province (from where most of them originated).
