Your point of focus helps with the narrative, Ayush!
Ayush Basu: It really caught my eye, Ray. Thank you.
A very nice detail shot of the hands.
Ayush Basu: I did find them interesting and wanted to show them, Michael.
That's an interesting custom... I like the focus on the hands, Ayush!
Ayush Basu: It really caught my eye, Elizabeth. Thank you.
WOW, Ayush. I've never heard of that! Between you and Ray I sure am getting my education.
Ayush Basu: I am delighted to hear that, Ginnie. And it is education for me too, without any doubt.

That is an interesting thing Ayush.
Ayush Basu: It certainly is to me too, Chad. And I understand a similar practice is employed in Myanmar too.
Making merit. I hope it works for them.
Ayush Basu: I hope so too, Mary.

The hands on the right are hurting, it seems.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for that conjecture, Louis. I like the way you think smile
Is the gold leaf left there or removed at some time and used to funding.
Ayush Basu: The gold leaf is purchased from the temple premises, I understand, Brian.
Making merit I imagine
Ayush Basu: You are correct, Bill.
A great capture of the fine detailing on the hands.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, CherryPie.

I wonder where you get those.
Ayush Basu: They are available for purchase from the temple premise, Michael. And of course, devotees are permitted to bring in their own prior purchased candles as well.

i love gold leaf... my mother used to use it in her crafting days...
Ayush Basu: Oh that must be neat then, Elaine. I remember having seen embossed gold leaf which was eye catching.
A very strong image...
Ayush Basu: I hope you like it, Larry.
Aren't gold leaves kinda expensive? Nice capture... smile
Ayush Basu: They are very thin, foil like, Sudipto. By the way, devotees offer a lot more at the Tirupati temple smile
