The elevated cloisters are impressive, Ayush, as are the elongated gargoyles [gargles].
Ayush Basu: Ensuring that the rain water is spouted out quite some distance away from the building, Ray.

Que c'est beau. On dirait qu'il y a beaucoup de touristes.
Ayush Basu: Always a busy place, especially in the summer months, Martine.
A lovely Catherdral Ayush, I remember being here so thank you for the reminder.
Ayush Basu: I thought of showing a few other facets to Pisa, apart from the Leaning Tower, Chad.
I thought I recognized the place... You did a great job of getting this wonderful upward view!
Ayush Basu: It is a pity that we reached this place just 15 minutes before closing time and therefore, we did not go in. Thank you, Elizabeth.
Still standing!
Ayush Basu: Quite magnificent, Michael.
It does look familiar, Ayush, even though that was a long time ago for me. I like your POV.
Ayush Basu: I thought of showing a few other facets to Pisa, apart from the Leaning Tower, Ginnie.

Grand architecture and tourists, they go together all over the place in Europe Ayush
Ayush Basu: It would not be possible to get rid of all those tourists from such places, Chris.

It makes the people look very small, Ayush
Ayush Basu: That facade is imposing indeed, Lisl.
A magnificent building Ayush
Ayush Basu: It is a pity that we reached this place just 15 minutes before closing time and therefore, we did not go in, Bill.

I love the colonnades(?) towards the top - fabulous.
Ayush Basu: It is a pity that we reached this place just 15 minutes before closing time and therefore, we did not go in, Alan.
What an impressive photo, Tom. The way the wide angle's slight curvature really adds to the envelopment feel.
Ayush Basu: I like the way you phrased that, Mary.
Sorry I called you Tom. You both have the maps at the bottom of your page and he takes so many architectural shots...
Ayush Basu: That is perfectly alright, Mary smile

beautiful shot of a beautiful building!! how often do you comment back? once a month? how do you keep your commenters?
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Elaine! Hmm, about every other day. Nothing special, I guess smile
It is a beautiful frontage, especially all those little arches across the top.
Ayush Basu: I like those arches as well, Brian.

Oh oui, cette cathédrale est magnifique, ta photo est superbe! Bise, que ta journée te soit belle et lumineuse!
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the comment, Maria-Lina. Indeed, this is a beautiful place and my lens made it easy to get this shot.
Deserves its extraction from the archives!
Ayush Basu: I thought of showing a few other facets to Pisa, apart from the Leaning Tower, Tom.

Quite a building. Now I know that Pisa has a cathedral as well as a falling tower.
Ayush Basu: I thought of showing a few other facets to Pisa, apart from the Leaning Tower, Louis. They tend to dominate more.
very imposing decorations...
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you like this view showing off the structure, Larry.

Impressive architecture!
Ayush Basu: It really has an imposing facade, CherryPie.
it is a magnificent cathedral Ayush... we got to see it back in 2006....petersmile
Ayush Basu: It certainly is a magnificent place. The climb to the top has a curved staircase which follows the dome - at times I could not stand straight.
