It seems a well trodden piece of ground, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: And now receiving a share of plastic bottles and other assorted trash too, Ray.
M.mm, some of those legs wouldn't have qualified, Ayush. smile
Ayush Basu: Including mine, Frank grin although they are not up there.

A real piece of history then
Ayush Basu: I suppose the history is there but the perception of it is perhaps slightly exaggerated (my opinion at least), Chris.

Ils sont prêts à  partir.
Ayush Basu: Some of them did have a mock 100m dash, Martine.
As the saying goes Ayush, show a leg.
Ayush Basu: Well they don't say that around here grin But I looked it up over the 'net and found it interesting. Thank you for that education, Chad.
Glad it is not the finish line as there would be a lot of tripping going on. smile
Ayush Basu: Good point, Mary.
A really mixed variety of legs there Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Legs, footwear, clothing... got it all, Brian. Thank you.
A fine assortment of footwear!
Ayush Basu: None barefoot though- that would have about completed it, Tom.
I suspect the ancient Greeks had better legs Ayush!
Ayush Basu: I agree with you, Bill.
Oh it was almost as hot as like this when I went there in September.
Ayush Basu: Hotter, I imagine, LC.
That is amazing.
Ayush Basu: Quite an interesting spot, I thought, Michael.
An interesting study in calves...
Ayush Basu: Yes, I agree, Larry. A break from the usual sports photos and it is nice to study something else for a change smile
A nicely composed shot - especially considering the subject matter!
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Elizabeth. The starting line is easy to miss.
A definite study in legs, Ayush...and so creative. I hope the foreground leg with hair doesn't slow him down?
Ayush Basu: Sounds precisely like the kind of excuse I would use when I time myself running, Ginnie grin

The starting line at the Olympia race track. I stood there as well. Only, my picture only has two people near the end of the track in it. I like this view you have created - bunch of wannabees.
Ayush Basu: There were tourists by the busloads, Louis. And I agree with your statement.

Some ready to start and some not ready to start...

Lovely capture smile
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the comment, CP. I believe if the distance were to be 42.195km (supposedly the distance of the first run), not one of them would be ready!
