They seem to be preparing for the race in different ways, Ayush
Ayush Basu: That is certainly the case, going by their facial expressions.
The competitor from Singapore looks very relaxed Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Very confident, very positive, but she did not finish on the podium, Chad.
Each one has her own spcific "face," Ayuah. Hmmm. Makes you want to guess which one will come in 1st, 2nd and 3rd. smile
Ayush Basu: I think you are right and perhaps you could guess it correctly too, Ginnie!
They look quite determined Ayush!
Ayush Basu: They are budding athletes, all of them, Richard.

Yes, it doesn't look like they are going to race each other - way too happy.
Ayush Basu: They were making friends along the way too, Louis.
the one in the middle is giving you the stink eye... lol... or maybe she has a crush on you smile
Ayush Basu: You may be closer with the first one, Elaine! smile
Ms Lim looks very relaxed Ayush
Ayush Basu: You are right about that, Bill. I thought that too at that time.

You have their attention, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: The big 70-200 has that effect sometimes, Ray.
Very good image Ayush. I'm pleased to see the ladies in your part of the world don't go out on the running track wearing next to nothing like a lot of them did in the Olympics, surely loose clothing like this is much more comfortable.
Ayush Basu: Curious, isn't it? Thank you for your perspective, Brian, because I think you make an excellent point.

118 has a lovely smile and no. 30 has a look which says let's get this race going. 178 looks quite assured of herself.
Ayush Basu: 178 was from a small Timor Leste contingent. 118 was quite at peace with herself and 30 will feature once more in my coming post, Alan
They look set to go, Ayush...
Ayush Basu: And they were really off!

All ready for the start, you have captured a variety of feeling just before the race.
Ayush Basu: I was lucky to be at the place at that time, Anne.
And not an ounce of fat on them!
Ayush Basu: I agree, Tom. Rather efficient running machines.
Ha ha... Malaysia team is so rubbish. wink
Ayush Basu: Oh they were not so bad as you think, LC.

They all look very relaxed. A contrast with the strained faces you showed during the race.
Ayush Basu: Yes, a whole lot of difference seen in the before-after shots!
It looks like 2 out 3 have their game faces on...
Ayush Basu: Haha good observation, Larry. I like the way you put it.
