Zwart Water

The Zwart Water is an area of Limburg Landschapp near the Maas/Meuse. It consists of wet and dry types of forests, birch-oak. After World War II, this was arranged as a conserved park. It is open to a dense network of trails popular with hikers, cyclists and horse riders.

Gorgeously luminous, Ayush...a delight for the eyes!
Ayush Basu: It was a lovely time of the day and a wonderful spot, Ray. Mostly silent except for the occasional huffing cyclists or joggers.

Magnifiques reflets et jolie lumière.
Ayush Basu: Je suis heureux de lire vos commentaires. Je suis d'accord , la lumière était très agréable.
Thank you for the comment, Martine. I agree about the light, it was highly appealing.
What a delightful place Ayush!
Ayush Basu: It certainly was delightful, Richard. During my stay there, I visited this place on several occasions.

Oh, this image could make my day - wonderful!
Ayush Basu: I am thoroughly pleased to hear/read that, Philine. I had a memorable time walking here.
A beautiful picture Ayush. Glorious colours
Ayush Basu: I am thoroughly pleased to hear/read that, Bill. The light filtering through the canopy helped.
You've captured this beautifully. Who would not want to be there right now.
Ayush Basu: You are right, Mary. I visited this place several times during my stay in the Netherlands.
Lovely shot, I guess one has to walk round the edge of this bit.
Ayush Basu: You are right about that, Brian. But even the rest of the leaves covered area is a lot of mulch.
All quiet now on the western front...
Ayush Basu: Somewhere between five and ten kilometers is an ammunition bunker from WWII. Of course, nothing of that today exists except a marker.
A most unexpected reflection!
Ayush Basu: The reflection attracted me more, so I crouched down to take an angle of low to high, which is why I got more of the blown out sky bits, Tom.

The lighting is stunning smile
Ayush Basu: Thank you CP, the light filtering through the canopy helped. I just had to press the shutter.

Looks to be fine place to escape from the normal pressure of life. I like the reflections in the water.
Ayush Basu: I met some serious joggers and cyclists here, Alan. There were also some enthusiastic dogs with their respective human, all getting down and dirty smile

I can imagine that people come here, just like what Alan said. I hope you did not 'drown' on the way... proper feet wear is in order here smile
Wonderful picture.
Ayush Basu: I got a healthy dose of mulch and water on my jeans and shoes, but nothing that a good washing machine or hand scrubbing did not eliminate, Astrid. Thank you, I am pleased you liked it.
Reminded me of my tropical home country too.
Ayush Basu: I bet you did a fair bit exploration of the rain forests there, LC. I am not sure if you mentioned whether you are from the west or Sabah/Sarawak.

It is easy to understand why it is a popular spot. Lovely.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Beth. A very serene place and removed from all the hustle of urban life - even a mobile signal is scratchysmile
This is an exceptionally beautiful image, Ayush! The lighting is exquisite!
Ayush Basu: Thank you kindly, Elizabeth... I was rather pleased myself having chanced upon it.
