Very interesting, Ayush. Amsterdam is a little distance from Singapore.
Ayush Basu: Maybe the shirt reminded him of a joint he had there a long time ago, Ray.
He is so concentrated Ayush. Great captures!
Ayush Basu: He was fully focused on the task at hand, Richard. Thank you.

He doesn't appear to need much work-space, Ayush
Ayush Basu: He is quite comfortable and has pretty much everything within an arm's reach, Lisl.

No doubt it is to be replaced by something modern and soulless
Ayush Basu: These apartment blocks? Yes, a new expressway, Chris, in the coming years.
I hope those aren't his best trousers Ayush or he will get it in the neck when he gets home.
Ayush Basu: Good observation, Chad. And I agree with you for his sake.
That's a good idea. I am assuming he has made the baskets and is now decorating them. The weave is perfect - a hard job.
Ayush Basu: Yes, he seems to be practised and skilled at what he is doing, Mary.

What are the baskets used for, Ayush?
Ayush Basu: I believe they are lanterns, Pauline.

Il est très concentré
a face of concentration...
Ayush Basu: I agree with you, Larry.
Thankfully so, Ayush. And I see that you were able to combine both of your worlds...Amsterdam/Holland and Singapore!
Ayush Basu: Lanterns and canals side by side, Ginnie - a happy coincidence.
It would be rather nice to have one of those baskets, each one would be slightly different than the others.
Ayush Basu: I think so, Brian. And I cannot read it but I believe he is inscribing good wishes on those lanterns.

Love this pictures and I love to see the concentration... and the shirt...
Great pictures and I love the movement of the hand in the top picture.
Ayush Basu: You are right about the movement, Astrid. I had not noticed that when I took the shot and was wondering later whether to discard this shot but decided that it was quite ok. Thank you very much.

So, you think he has been to an Amsterdam coffee bar? Can't remember that I have seen him smile
Ayush Basu: Did you see me though? wink
i like the artist Ayush and your pictures of them... i'm sure that the Rochor Centre's demolition will change the lives of very many people....petersmile
Ayush Basu: Well summed up and I agree, a lot of people will have to get used to a new way of doing thngs, Peter.
I love the kangaroo paint!
Ayush Basu: A lot of things are red in Singapore so I believe he goes through the red tins rather rapidly, Bill.

It'll be good to have those memories.
Ayush Basu: Yes, I agree, Alan. This happens quite frequently in Singapore though. People will eventually move on.
Nothing stays the same!
Ayush Basu: You can say that again, Tom.
Nice image, captures the moment.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Rob
And I think it's great that you're documenting it, as well... I very much like these images!
