Bbrrrr....

Have you noticed how weather forecasts have an actual temperature and another “feels like” temperature? Those days, the temperature was not particularly low, but the winds generally made me want to bundle myself up every time I stepped out. This statue captures that feeling well.

Beethoven as a lad...first manuscript coyly hidden under his coat...
Ayush Basu: There is some resemblance in that, Ray. A subtle observation overlooked by me grin
Nice shot. I looks like he is hiding something in his coat.
Ayush Basu: Probably the body heat that he wants to shield from the winds, Michael smile

It's the winds that get me every time! Agree with you on that for sure!
Ayush Basu: Then you and I have something in common in addition to photography, Emily!

haha, when art immitates your life... pretty shot though
Ayush Basu: I was pleasantly surprised coming across this piece, Elaine.
The winds make me feel very cold Ayush! Great capture.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Richard.

I think we can all identify with this Ayush
Ayush Basu: Then we are on the same page, Chris. Thank you.
Love this shot of the cold child in the blooming roses.

Sometimes the announcer will give the feel like temperature first and when I recover, I hear the real temperature.
Ayush Basu: Yes, Mary, I loved the realism and the placement of this statue, facing the sun, was just perfect for me.
And now as I am back in Singapore, it is somewhere between 25 and 32 degrees C all year round. I plan to go for a swim later this evening grin
I guess the usual temperatures in Northern Europe will be somewhat down on what you are used to at home Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Well to be honest, Brian, it was not that cold at all (in two months, the lowest temperature was 2 degrees C), which is actually how low it goes to in my hometown in India. But yes, in Singapore, the chillest of air conditioned rooms perhaps go to 19 which is worrying in another aspect. The lowest I have come across was -26 in Sweden, but it was not particularly windy there.
I love this little statue - and he illustrates your comment very well!
Ayush Basu: It does, Elizabeth. Nice placement of the statue outside.

We had a day like that yesterday, sunny but 'cold to the bone'... I love this little statue!!! Have a great weekend, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: It was a great statue, Astrid. You are quite right about cold to the bone.
this statue would be right at home here in Northern Ontario right now Ayush....petersmile
Ayush Basu: You are right about that, Peter.
Especially here in the Netherlands, Ayush, there is a cold-to-the-bone temp that usually IS colder than what the actual temp is. Astrid says it's because of the wind AND the dampness in the air.
Ayush Basu: Yes, I felt exactly the same, Ginnie. But it was worth it for the photos.

Brrr - a wonderful demo of "feels like"
Ayush Basu: Yep, you got it, Louis smile

I know just what you mean about temperatures, Ayush. They talk about "wind chill" on the weather forecast
Ayush Basu: I had low tolerance for that, Lisl.

Yes, I know just what you mean. The dampness does it for me, too. These littel chap looks as though he could with a hat.
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Alan. It was almost painful after being out for a while. But the scenes were worth it.
It is a lovely statue Ayush.
Ayush Basu: It was really a well done piece of art, Chad.
Oh it's "I'm a bit shy" look.
Ayush Basu: That too, LC
Mmm, Ray's got it right!
Ayush Basu: I do agree, Tom.
I know the feeling. It looks warm outside from the inside and then you step out and the wind blows right through you!
Ayush Basu: Exactly, Bill. I have low tolerance for that.
