ice ice baby... is it vanilla? lol
Ayush Basu: You made a connection that had eluded me, Elaine tongue
It looks like it would be fast. Nice lines.
Ayush Basu: Yes, this rolling stock is fairly popular and use by the Deutsche Bahn and some other national railways too, Michael.
Ice is beautiful Ayush!
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you agree, Richard.

In that case, you were very quick with your camera, Ayush
Ayush Basu: Actually I had plenty of time to prepare since I had heard the announcement (in English) while on the platform, Lisl. smile

Ooh - I love these things Ayush!
Ayush Basu: I am with you, Chris.
Zoom-Zoom! Definitely a joy to observe...and to ride!
Ayush Basu: I agree, Ginnie. I had the opportunity to ride these and they touch around 310kmph.

I guess it slowed down to pass through a major station, but this piece of machinery looks like it can really take off.
Ayush Basu: It did slow down and I agree with you about the nose design. The interiors are rather nice too (a shame I do not have pictures).
A very graceful looking machine Ayush.
Ayush Basu: I was floored (not literally) by the nose design the first time I saw it, Chad

Now there's a train that shouts "SPEED". I'd like a ride on this.
Ayush Basu: A pleasurable experience, Alan.
That's an impressive train, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: From nose to nose, Frank.
Zoom, zoom, zooom
Ayush Basu: It was somewhat whoooossshhh, but I get what you mean, Mary smile Thank you.
I travelled in one of these from Cologne to Brussels in 2003, what a brilliant ride, and the sheer speed was out of this world compared with the quickest of trains in the U.K.
Ayush Basu: And even at top speeds, it is really smooth and comfortable inside, Brian.
A sleek machine built for speed Ayush
Ayush Basu: Quite right, Bill. They touch about 310kmph.
That is some classy design!
Ayush Basu: It is quite something, isn't it? And the interiors are rather neat too, Tom
Faster than Shinkansen?
Ayush Basu: I think they are about the same. They touch about 310kmph. But I do not know the top speeds of the later ICEs or Shinkansens.
zoom zoom Ayush it sure looks fast...
did you know that Bombardier started off as L'Auto-Neige Bombardier Limitée... building snow machines in Quebec, Canada in the 1940's...

over the years it has become a large manufacturer of regional aircraft, business jets, mass transportation equipment, recreational equipment and more...
O Canada!
....petersmile
Ayush Basu: It touches about 310km. Thank you for the brief history on Bombardier. I may not have mentioned this, but I worked in the Bombardier organization briefly. My work was within the railway business unit but I had the opportunity to ride for a short haul flight on a 90 seater Bombardier craft (I am embarrassed to admit I cannot remember from where).
I do recall the Canadian connection but on my daily interactions, I did not get to meet any Canadians or travel to Canada.

A fascinating train. I love the perspective of your photo smile
Ayush Basu: Thank you, Cherie. I had just heard the announcement (in English) and had some time to position myself.

These are a very comfortable way to travel. We go with this one to Paris in July or maybe even with the Thalys.
Ayush Basu: I have taken the French Thalys and it is a nice journey too, Astrid. I am sure you will both find it memorable.
