I do not have any information about this building but I suppose this is one of the older buildings in this area, perhaps over a century old[?]

A beautiful building. I like the shadows on the bricks.
How great that it has those wonderful red shutters! It was great to see you on Ginnie's page yesterday!

You might be right, Ayush. Love the point of view and the framing.

It's a very fine building, Ayush, but I wouldn't know how to date it. Perhaps Astrid knows

I like your photo with the tree shadows. These are medieval buildings from the 15th/16th century. It is a pity that so many buildings were destoyed at the end of the WWII. Fine that Venlo could preserve at least a part of the old stadje. A Dutch friend of mine is working in Venlo. Limburg is a special part of NL, and I love the soft sound of their language like in Flanders/Belgium.

It could be the Romerhuis: https://nl.wikipedia.org/wiki/Romerhuis
The shutters add to the attraction of the building
I like the play on words for Venlo and Lover, Ayush...assuming I'm not reading too much into this. smile And as you know, I'm such a lover of this kind of Dutch architecture!
Ayush Basu: I think it was part of a biennial celebration banner which was not taken down, Ginnie. I like the play on the words too actually.

I especailly like the window shutters.
Ayush Basu: I am pleased you do, Alan
Fine capture Ayush! I quite like the brickwork.
Ayush Basu: Thank you kindly, Richard

The street name says Kwartelenmarkt in the Centrum (City centre). The markt is a square in town that had the use of marketing something - in this case it would have been quail, being marketed in the olden days. The building is the Romerhuis (as Philine indicated) and is far more than a century old. Maybe more than 500 years?
Ayush Basu: You could be right, Louis - that is what the wiki page seems to indicate.
I like the shutters that are as big as doors.
it is a grand piece of architecture well framed Ayush1
....petersmile
It is a fine edifice...
Very typical Flemish look.
I would guess it was originally a warehouse maybe 17th century. I am probably totally wrong though grin
I'd say considerably older, Ayush, possibly 18th Century
