photoblog image Markt

Markt

This is the street (called Markt) leading to the Markt (marketplace). A pedestrian street with some boutique shops, cafes and bakeries selling local gingerbread called 'printen' (see left). Mr Red Jacket was amused for some reason, don't ask why.

Looks a good place for a wander. I see the name "Dunhill", too - once a brand of cigarettes and now into fashion, I think. It is a sunny day but the coats tell me that its cool.
Ayush Basu: Funny, Alan. They built their brand so strong that people still associate them with tobacco products. Thank you very much for the perceptive remarks.
A pleasant place to wander in Ayush. Perhaps he's been trained to smile at cameras
Ayush Basu: He just may have been trained that way, Janet haha.
Pedestrian streets are the best. Very nice shot.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Michael.

I think he and his wife (?) might have some jokes.. and the weather sure is to laugh about (as you might know) we can have nasty weather for weeks.
Ayush Basu: Oh yes, this was taken in April and this sunny day was after a couple of days of wet, windy weather, Astrid.
Looking at this makes me smile, Ayush, knowing we will be seeing you in 3 more days. How fun. smile
Ayush Basu: Looking forward to that, Ginnie. smile
My eyes want to hang with the clouds...
