Funny, isn't it Ayush, how tourism has morphed from seeing stuff to buying trinkets and pretending you are having fun.
Ayush Basu: Quite right, Ray. Anything that is remotely interesting has immediately to be mass produced and tied to a price tag. I suppose a lot of people buy these trinkets because they think they are expected to do so.

Sorry about that uninvited rant...

Your pic is very good as usual, and reminds me that you would make a very good travel fotog.
Ayush Basu: You are too kind, Ray. I wonder if I would make enough moolah to pay my monthly bills.

It looks lovely Ayush. I will get my little sister Astrid to take me there one day
Ayush Basu: I think you both will not regret it, Chris.
Lovely pictures reminding me of my visit to this city many years ago!
Ayush Basu: I am pleased with that effect, Richard.
My son travels to Holland quite often. I might jump in his bag sometime.
Ayush Basu: There are quite a few historical places to visit in the Netherlands, Mary. I think you won't regret it.
I like seeing the clogs, I still have my pair of worn out working clogs from when I worked in Holland in the 1964 !!
Ayush Basu: Wow. You must have interesting tales from your experience then, Martin.

Looks a really busy, vital place, Ayush
Ayush Basu: A central part of the town on a weekend, Lisl. The good weather helped - it was April and the preceding days had brought some drizzle/cloud cover.
Some fine looking buildings there.
Ayush Basu: And quite massive too, Brian. The wide angle helped.
Looks like a vibrant place with great architecture Ayush
Ayush Basu: It certainly was that, Janet.
Looks well worth a visit one day
Ayush Basu: I do not think you will regret your visit here, Bill
Lovely pictures, good colors!
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Roland
What a lovely square!
Ayush Basu: It surely is, LC.

Ayush Basu: Thank you, Gil. Have a great weekend.
I wonder how many people buy those wooden shoes and then wonder why they bought them! smile
Ayush Basu: A lot, I suspect, Tom.

Two great shots. A blue sky with cotton wad clouds, really assist a lot with photography.
Ayush Basu: I agree, Louis. I particularly like the cheery feel imparted
I never imagined that they would sell clogs there Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Touristy traps I suppose; they will sell anything anywhere these days and with the right advertising, it will sell like hot cakes.
Wonderful. I love the great colours.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Michael
two great shots Ayush... i like the people in the market on the first one and your framing of the city hall....petersmile
Ayush Basu: Very kind of you, Peter. Thank you for the comment.

Spectacular street scene. I love the clogs - they let you know where you are!
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Beth. You are right - no mistaking the location here.

I love the people and clogs in the foreground. A perfect illustration of business in the city smile
