Aachen's very own local monster. Aachener men, after having downed one too many drinks of choice, would make their way back home and fumble all over the streets. Some would fall over and cut themselves. Not wanting to admit their inebriation, they slowly came up with the myth of the monster with sharp teeth and scaly skin, climbing from the sewers. The monster would climb the backs of the men and demand to be carried all the way. The more the men struggled, the heavier the beast would get and tighter would be its grasp. Women and children were never attacked.
