I wonder if he is a pilgrim or priest?
Ayush Basu: He values his peace for sure, Chris.
Don't tell anyone about it. It's a secret.
Ayush Basu: I wish I knew what was it, Mary!

It is quite funny. I recognise the statue because of a beer named after it, The artist is Ger Janssen. The reason for the statue in front of the church, was that as children, they were obliged to attend church and every time, just before they entered church, their mother admonished them to keep silent. He captured this respect for peace and quiet, by means of this statue in front of the Dominican Church. Hence the text at the base of the image: "Find the silence that stimulates". The Padre tells the people in the square to rest.

The beer is a local brew and quite strong.
Ayush Basu: That was a remarkable comment from you, Louis. And thank you very much for the explanation. I looked up Ger Janssen and some of his work.
