I cannot recall if selfie sticks were banned at this venue. They are increasingly getting banned at almost all places.

Selfie Sticks are annoying things for almost everybody except the user, Ayush, but banning them smacks of the over-control that characterises the World View of Singapore.

Surely better to let them wither and rust on the gimicks stall as folks start to be embarrassed about how silly they look when using them...heh.
there is a selfie virus going around the crowd Ayush....petersmile

what is a selfie stick? is it different than a regular selfie picture? is it a special piece of equipment only used for taking pictures of your own self? if so, what the heck kind of a weird invention is THAT and why is there a demand for it? etc etc inquiring minds want to know
Ha ha ha ha ha.

Now I've got a selfie stick but it was bought years before they became known as selftie sticks. I use it to get a high vantage point with my GoPro camera.

The 'selfie' is a curious phenomenon!
GOOD! They annoy me to no end!!!
Where in days of old photographers experimented with taking self portraits;

In current times people like to take photographs of themselves with their back to the main event...

They miss out on so much!
