photoblog image Peekaboo

Peekaboo

The elusive cheetah was content to lie in a far corner and immerse himself in conversations with his gently swaying tail. To me, a shot of a cheetah with the tear drop markings is a highlight but I settled for the spots, on this occasion.

I have this from some time back: http://ayush.shutterchance.com/image/2012/02/24/built-for-speed/

You are being ignored!
Ayush Basu: Story of my life, Chris! grin
Lucky you Ayush. Spotting a cheetah (or a tiger) could be really really tough. These are elusive creatures indeed!
Ayush Basu: This was at the Singapore Zoo, so it was not too tough. I agree they can be elusive.
Aren't they just beautiful animals Ayush?
Ayush Basu: Yes, they are very appealing, Richard

I have just caught up with the earlier one, too. You are privileged to get such pictures
Ayush Basu: This was at the Singapore Zoo, so it was not too tough. But I do agree it was a privilege given their declining numbers and challenging circumstances they face ahead.
Lovely animals, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Yes, they are very appealing, aren't they?
Conversation (and contemplation) with the tail is very important. Best that this time is not disturbed. Is this in a zoo?
Ayush Basu: Yes Mary, this is at the Singapore Zoo (both shots).
Beautiful animals Ayush!

A lovely picture of an amazing creature Ayush
Ayush Basu: It is a shame when one thinks of their declining numbers, Anne.

They are beautiful creatures; their coats are fabulous. At least in a zoo, they re hopefully well cared for. It could at least have looked at you, though wink
Ayush Basu: Not enough space to stretch their legs but yes, they are well looked after, Alan.
Great colouring on this fur Ayush.
Ayush Basu: It really is, Chad, and he/she is showing it off well.
this is a wonderful shot Ayush... when i first saw the image... i thought that the cheetah was looking at a skunk and deciding if it tastes better than it smells grin

....petersmile
Ayush Basu: smile One way or another, he/she would have tears in eyes, Peter
Stunning animals - I really love this shot- not the ordinary one. I remember your previous image too!
Ayush Basu: Cheetahs are my favourite animals, Elizabeth. Thank you very much
The very image of complete indifference.
Ayush Basu: Nicely summed up, Michael
I'd say catching a cheetah in any shape or form would be quite a victory, Ayush. Well done.

Spots in the green and not very co-operative.
Ayush Basu: Well as long as he's happy and healthy. And even this posture tells something about him smile
Fantastic Ayush!
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much for the comment, Ronky.

These animals are so beautiful and I hope that they have space enough to move around.
Great shot!
Ayush Basu: Definitely they do not have boundless space but I would assume it is better compared to other places of captivity, Astrid. Thank you very much for the comment.

I love the detail of his brush tail.
