Tree Hugger

Taken using the macro lens but this shy fella was simply too far away from me.

Taken at Kent Ridge Park (I should come here more frequently).

You have caught her nicely in a typical pose, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Her patience with clumsy, awkward photographer was wearing thin, Ray. Thank you.
It's a really terrific shot though Ayush!
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Elizabeth.
He is keeping an eye on you Ayush! Great capture.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Richard. He did not trust the 100mm lens protruding from the front of my face!

He seems to flatten himself to be less obtrusive, Ayush - good picture
Ayush Basu: More of him was visible, until he decided that the plodding, clumsy photographer was getting too close for comfort, Lisl

Very subtle Ayush
Ayush Basu: The subject? I agree. The exact opposite of what I was, Chris, in all honesty.
Gotta love the title, Ayush. He is definitely one shy little chameleon.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Ginnie. More of him was visible, until he decided that the plodding, clumsy photographer was getting too close for comfort, Ginnie.
I like this with him peeping shyly round the tree
Ayush Basu: More of him was visible, until he decided that the plodding, clumsy photographer was getting too close for comfort, Bill!

I see him, a definite Greenpeace activist.
Ayush Basu: Very green and very peaceful, Mike
awwww isn't he a cutie?? we used to have chameleons when i was young, i wanted to hug them but they would freak out and turn purple lol
Ayush Basu: I find him cute too but would not go that far as to hug him, Elaine
I can see you... fantastic Ayush
Ayush Basu: Yep! Thank you very much, Ronky

Ha ha a new age creature perhaps Ayush.
Ayush Basu: New age creature easily evades plodding, blundering, clumsy photographer, Chad. We at least I got his one eye smile

Must be one of those that scurries around the trunk as you come nearer.
Ayush Basu: Exactly, Louis! I was clumsily crashing through the shrubs and this fella probably knew of my coming from a mile off.
Awesome shot. I like the composition a lot with the darkened corner.
Ayush Basu: You would be surprised that there was a lot of vegetation related darkness in this horticultural park, that too when the sun was just about overhead. Thank you very much, Mary
Nearly perfect camouflage...
Ayush Basu: I almost missed him too...
It's almost as if he/she is hiding from you.
Ayush Basu: He/she was on to me, I am not that light footed and agile. Probably saw me coming from a mile away, Brian grin

A wonderful photo. The DoF is just right as is the angle of the photo which hides Mr Lizard at first glance.

I get the feeling he is winking at me ;-)
Ayush Basu: Actually my first shot was of him more visible but he was obviously on to me, starting to slink away. Thank you very much, CP
Nicely camouflaged and a terrific shot.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Michael

I can see you! It has long spindly legs and very long toes!
Ayush Basu: The girth of the tree trunk does not seem to pose any problem here, Alan

What a great title and what a great picture. I love the DOF and the colours.
Wonderful animals.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the comment, Astrid. I was rather drawn in by the markings around the eye.
That's certainly good camouflage!
Ayush Basu: Very effective I should say. I certainly did not notice him; only after I was done with a grasshopper in the vicinity did I see him and then he started to slink away.
This little fellow is a bit shy today. smile
Ayush Basu: And not so trusting too, LC!
