This shot is actually upside down. The spider was fed up with all the attention focussed on it and scurried to the underside of the leaf. I took the shot anyway and flipped it around.

I know the feeling, Ayush - I mean I know how frustrating it is when a spider does this!
Ayush Basu: Now that I think of it, it would have been amusing time lapse video of this spider evading me, Lisl! grin
Good for you, Ayush. You caught the hairy beast!
Ayush Basu: I did "catch" it Ginnie, thank you for your visit and comment
So that is why his hair is standing on end Ayush grin

I hope you thanked him for his modelling ability. Great series.
Ayush Basu: Not so much volubly, Mary. But if you are familiar with Garfield comic strip, there was no rolled up newspaper involved grin
Hairy spidey in action!

Oh well done; what a good idea! Such fine you're captures; I like its hairy legs.
Ayush Basu: I'm pleased to hear that, thank you very much Alan
It does make one wonder how certain sorts of creature are able to rest on things upside down without falling off.
Ayush Basu: I cannot remember the exact mechanism right now but I recall reading a long time ago that jumping spiders employ a different technique which enables them to have rather flimsy, spindly looking legs but they can actually be rather effective and powerful! Thank you for the refreshing comment, Brian.
I like this one. Looks like a litle character
Ayush Basu: Delighted to hear that. He could probably fit on your thumb nail, Janet!
Well caught Ayush
Ayush Basu: I'm pleased to hear that, thank you very much John
Another beautiful and creepy shot.
Ayush Basu: Thank you! Drawing to a close, Michael

Ayush Basu: I'm pleased to hear that, thank you very much Astrid. This series is drawing to a close but what a time I had in the making of it!
