The scene above shows the dried seafood section. Now get this: in all over Singapore, there are only four licences for trade of dried seafood, this being one of them. And they almost never deal with individual purchasers, unless one wanted, let's say, 100 kilos of anchovies!

I can just smell this, Ayush.
I love anchovies but 100 kilos is a bit too much for me Ayush!

I love the picture and the story behind all these dried fish. Dried fish is big in the Far East and I suppose its because in the past drying was the only was to keep them for eating.

I think they can keep their anchovies, they are a bit to strong flavoured for me.

I like your photograph though, it draws the eye right in to it.

I love markets like that. 100 kilo of anchovies, that is a lot....

Who consumes the stuff by the 100 kilo's? I have eaten some nice dishes that made use of the little dried fish - but a 100 kilo's!
