The Lycra

... or whatever it was that was used to create the jerseys. Very impressive, holding up the integrity.

Turns out shirt pulling and holding an opponent by the fabric is perfectly legal! It helps if modesty is not of paramount importance.

It must be as tough as the players are!
Ayush Basu: That is a good aim for the developers of the fabric/jerseys, Chris!

smile These guys do great in testing fabrics..... Love the series. These guys are great.
I played softball (fast pitch) for years and I was the catcher. Ladies rugby only came later sad I found this female student team http://www.dames-rugby.nl/
Ayush Basu: Thank you for following the series closely Astrid, I will look up your link in a while smile
A lot of rugby players wear skin tight shirts these days
Ayush Basu: Not chain mail, Bill? smile
I love the concentration on all the faces in this series. They are certainly dedicated players.
Ayush Basu: They certainly seem to taking this game seriously Mary, thank you
A couple of good shots to prove your point Ayush
Ayush Basu: Thank you for your approval Janet smile

hehe those shots are kinda funny, is hair pulling allowed too, or would that be fighting like a girl? lol... they can just try to pull each other's clothes off, much more manly smile
Ayush Basu: Anybody not on the field could react to this situation with some levity Elaine, I suppose hair pulling is not allowed. Come to think of it where is the referee grin?
I see that guys shorts are on the way down, ladies in the crowd cover your eyes smile
Ayush Basu: grin Thank you Brian. Under the circumstances, I think men too would prefer to cover their eyes.

He doesn't look to keen on having his shirt pulled...
Ayush Basu: He's happy it was his shirt pulled out, not his ears grin Thanks for the comment Cheryl

Rather stoutly built chaps all, heh!
Ayush Basu: Less than 100 kilos of weight and below 185 cm would mean failure to qualify for the team, I imagine!
LOL. Well, then. Let's all have a go at it, Ayush. grin
Ayush Basu: I am content to be at the sidelines and capture the fun, Ginnie. If I played this, I would probably set a record for fastest limb broken!

Great shots. The holding on is legal, as long as the guy has the ball. Also in a scrum, but you are supposed to let go when the scrum breaks up.
Ayush Basu: Well that's good to know it was legal. I was thinking so far that the referee was just plain scared to step in and stop grin
