It is a popular event, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Not as much as the upcoming Standard Chartered (Gold) marathon. 70.000 people are expected in that one!

Ayush Basu: Very lively then this one grin
That makes a very interesting shot.
Ayush Basu: Thank you Michael
Some of them seem to be impatient to start the race! Fine capture Ayush.
Ayush Basu: There always are some of that type, Richard grin Thank you.

All packed in and raring to go!
Ayush Basu: That is correct, Chris
I like how you caught the photographer in front of you, Ayush. Ready, get set, GO.
Ayush Basu: Thank you Ginnie, the live view helped me capture this one
The one bloke looks as if he is having second thoughts Ayush
Ayush Basu: Haha, nice observation Bill

Great shot and I can see the excitement/tens to get started. I mostly was in the back of the line, figuring out my own pace and keep that for an hour or so..... passed many on the way, who took off too fast.
Ayush Basu: I agree with you. I was like that when I first started and learned that lesson the hard way, Astrid.
I can feel the anticipation of the start! A nice shot Ayush smile
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much Richard.

I take it that this was not the elite runners pen Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Probably not, since this was more of a fundraising one, Chad.

Obne of the runners seems to be in despair already with his head in his hands and leaning on the barrier. I like your view of the view through the phone.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much Alan. He's probably going "What did I get myself into".

Fine photo of a photo. What do you have to do to get pole position.
Ayush Basu: These are the serious runners, I think they just appear on the spot earlier than the rest. Thank you.

What a mix: bald, grey, young, old, rotund, skinny - the guy against the railing may be having second thoughts.
Ayush Basu: Haha, perhaps too late.
Quite a crowd!
Ayush Basu: Very varied Tom, you're right.
Great start off picture Ayush... there are a whole bunch of people there... some of them are stretching and i see one of them praying....petersmile
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much, Peter. I am surprised apart from that solitary camera, not many more are seen taking selfies.
