photoblog image The Pose

The Pose

To the right, a couple of girls were having their photos taken nearby, with a marquee of the marathon and this finisher was waiting for her turn. I thought this (unaware) shot was better.

Ayush Basu: Long distance does take a lot. Thank you for the comment, Elaine
this is a superb portrait of a very beautiful athletic woman Ayush... well done....petersmile
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the comment, Peter, she certainly looked quite comfortable and composed after having completed her course.
A great candid Ayush.I bet she would like this
Ayush Basu: She had asked me to take one of her with the background and I snapped this while waiting.

I don't think she's even seen you Ayush
Ayush Basu: You're right. She was waiting for the chosen spot to get free, Chris.
Very nice candid capture Ayush!
Ayush Basu: Thank you Richard.
agreed.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the comment, Larry
A nice candid shot.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for the comment, Cheryl
The satisfaction of being placed
Ayush Basu: I think she had a personal target which she comfortably achieved. Thank you for the visit and comment, John smile
You were right, Ayush. I used to do distances up to half-marathon, but always thought the marathon was much too long - of course, I started late and ran my personal best of 1 hr 43 min at the age of 53!
Ayush Basu: I salute you Tom! My best for a 21k so far has been 2:20, which is a half hour+ more than yours tongue
Natural is usually better Ayush, as you have shown here.
Ayush Basu: Thank you for that very nice observation Janet, appreciate it very much.
I do love this... a wonderful candid. I love seeing strong women featured as they are!
Ayush Basu: I agree with you on both accounts; on her and the depiction of strong women.
