Interesting observation: the men's version was more of a rapid fire round. From the word go, they would attempt to smash return shots and each point would be won or conceded in under a minute. The ladies on the other hand, played with great patience and restraint, going at it for a long while, eventually sending a smashing shot, almost diffidently. Broadside spectators most likely went back home with creaking necks owing to the oscillating left-right-left motions (unless the eyeballs were the ones doing the tracking).
