Having a good sniff

At a resting spot, some local canines subjected the bicycles to intense scrutiny. They did not leave their signature on any part of the bike though.

I am glad you had some watch-dogs.... nobody would come close to the bikes.
Great POV.
Ayush Basu: Thanks, Astrid. These dogs, residents of this island, just approached this camp site, I guess from their previous experience. Campers probably offer some left overs and these dogs seemed very friendly and inquisitive.
Dogs, they're so funny! Were you with the cyclists Ayush?
Ayush Basu: This was at a camp site where cyclists stop for a while to take in the views and perhaps refill water and so on. I was not in this group but Ray and I cycled on this island.
hop on doggy
Ayush Basu: Haha, quite right Chantal smile

Are they homeless dogs? Surely not in the rich Singapore! But in Portugal I saw lots of dogs straying around café tables and litter boxes.
Ayush Basu: This is on an island off Singapore. And even in Singapore there are instances of dogs being abandoned for a number of reasons. Sad but true. But on this comparatively less urban location and judging from the looks of them, they were not too bad.
That's a surprise! It's usually the first thing they do grin
Ayush Basu: Or perhaps they were already done with their business by the time I got around taking this shot smile

"Right, you take this one and I'll have the red and white one. We;ll have a ride whilst no-one is watching".
Ayush Basu: Haha good one, Alan. Thank you for the amusing exchange.
Funny Ayush! what happened in the end?
Ayush Basu: Oh nothing much Ronky, we just mounted our bikes (not these) and left these friendly fellas.
they have a good reason for doing this Ayush... the biker must have run over some dead animal... well spotted....petersmile
Ayush Basu: That's a good point Peter, I didn't think of that. Thank you for the refreshing viewpoint.
Bike guards perhaps? smile
Ayush Basu: In that case I appreciate their unswerving devotion, John. Thank you for the comment

Well you never know where it might have been Ayush.
Ayush Basu: True, luckily these were not our bikes, Chad
They seem looking after the bikes Ayush!
Ayush Basu: They were very friendly and well behaved, Richard
These bikes smell suspicious!
Ayush Basu: Haha, could very well be LC
Probably wondering if they can hitch a ride smile
Ayush Basu: Then they were probably disappointed, Tom smile

It seems to me they were performing a spot audit, Ayush...ensuring we were not mis-treating their bicycles.
Ayush Basu: They do seem to be in the middle of some consultation, Ray.
I imagine they already added their odours to the mix.
Ayush Basu: Not that I noticed them at it, but you never know. smile
They do look in good health- if they're friendly, perhaps the neighborhood has adopted them!
Ayush Basu: They are probably offered some scraps every now and then. Residents are few in this island so I guess they all know each other, humans and dogs!
faut avoir du chien pour monter sur ce vélo ,good day
Beautiful picture.
I love dogs and bicycles.
