TH07: Conversation

These three were involved in an animated conversation. Any theories as to what?

I'll get the ball rolling:

Female tourist - "How much to go to the Wat Pho? It's not too far from here, right?"

Tuktuk driver - "Two hundred baht."

Male tourist - "Don't look now, but I think we are all soon going to be featured on the blog of that chap across the road."

I need one of those for running around town. In the summer anyway. I suspect they would not be great in the snow.
Ayush Basu: The maneuverability of this vehicle is pretty good, for example in Bangkok traffic and it has some decent pulling power too Michael

I could tell you it is almost certainly the beginning of the great Grand Palace tuktuk scam...a not-too-expensive rip-off that is inflicted on most Thailand newbies.

Nice picture, Ayush.

I think what you have captured here is an innocent tourist in the process of being fleeced..

Female tourist: "There were 3 of us just now - my big sister must have fallen out!"

But I'm not getting in it if it hasn't got curtain airbags.

"Does the air conditioning work?". Are these gas powered? Thee looks to be a gas cylinder between the rear wheels.
"How much? You only picked us up 200M down there."

Oh, the tourists are overall - I saw a similar vehicle for the tourists in Hoorn/NL - funny talks - good that you captured the scene!

Some good conversations improvised here. I like the one provided by Lisl.

When I visited Bangkok, I wanted to hire a tuk-tuk in front of the hotel. The driver quoted a price, then immediately offered me a trip to some local massage parlour where the girl (or boy according to choice) will lay you down in a bath and do a naked body to body massage. He didn't stop, so I had to approach another driver to take me to the night market.

Try to imagine that conversation around the scene in your picture smile
More like...wish I could just get on this vehicle on the road to take us there..!
Great shot Ayush……good to see the tuktuk! smile
Superb street scene with this Tuktuk Ayush!
I'd swear we went round the block twice
I kinda like the lady to the left... What's she thinking?!

That is a very colourful vehicle, I think they are haggling over the price.
