A view from the train station at Grindelwald. This station serves two lines. The one seen here goes towards Männlichen [or Kleine Scheidegg to be exact] and this particular line is operated by the Wengernalpbahn. The summit of Männlichen can be reached by a cable car or by hiking. I would like to point out the rack in between the rails, used by the cogwheel train that employs it to negotiate the steep gradient.
The other line [not seen here] is behind me and is operated by the Berneroberlandbahn, providing connections to Interlaken.
