GZ 05: Transport

I was warned about traffic snarls in Guangzhou and especially cautioned that I should keep several hours on hand for the ride to the airport to catch my return flight. I got one day to walk about a fair bit and kept my eyes open for traffic. The driving style was perhaps a bit too aggressive for my liking but infrastructure-wise, things were quite good. I liked the elevated roads, main roads having several lanes and the use of trolley buses. I would have liked to ride the Guangzhou Metro, unfortunately I could not manage to make that happen.

By the way, I did not run into too many jams, definitely nothing like the one some people reported to be several kilometers long and lasting several days. Maybe I was just lucky.

Perhaps they knew FFA [Famous Fotografer Ayush] was in town, and were all on their best behaviour, Ayush...

Crisp and colourful shot.

The sky-roads are rather like Bangkok.
Wonderful image Ayush... i like the lush vegetation along the highway and the sky-road looks great from this angle....petersmile

You clearly caught a good time of the day, Ayush! Even Atlanta looks worse than this. HA!
Impressive and colourful perspective Ayush! Well done.

Beautiful urban image. I love the curves of the elevated roads, beautifully composed. I love the almost impressionistic colours too. Very effective and a great image.
I don't like driving in unfamiliar places. Good for you.

Nothing near to a traffic jam. It looks so open, orderly and clean.
The green foliage on both sides of the road makes it look rather pleasant. Judging from this well-shot image, Ayush, it appears to be a low traffic time of day.
It all looks very modern and quite a complicated junction network here.
Unless two of those lanes are for right turn, there's going to be a starting grid battle!

It looks very whizzy and futuristic. If that a monorail on the left?
oh superbe l'effet sur les voitures comme dans un circuit virtuel de jeux vidéos
I need you to say it in the end!
Fell in love with your photos!
Have a great weekend.
Greetings.
Lucia
