photoblog image UAE 9: Elevation

UAE 9: Elevation

This is a view from the top of the Burj Al Khalifa. Well, not the top, the 124th floor which has an observation deck open to the general ticket price paying public. The road seen here is again the Sheikh Zayed Road. So it would seem that there are some lesser buildings, as seen in the background.

O don't know if they are lesser, Ayush, but they are certainly shorter.
Wow! What a view, Ayush! I'd have stayed up there forever! Great shot!

I expect when each building was erected, it was going to be the biggest and the best. I wonder where it will stop?

A modern metropolis risen from the desert on the back of our own lust for oil. Great view Ayush.
The general brownness of the desert is apparent in this shot. Hardly any colour in the architecture. Good shot for a look around.
Camels in the desert, Ayush
Woow, quite an impressive contrast!
The three to the left seem to have an Egyptian influence

It is an amazing view, very spectacular, 'liking' is something else. But I would be glued to the window to see it all. I love heights.
The buildings are so much higher than all the others that they pop right out.

You do get the scale of things when you see it like this, Ayush!
With a few exceptions, the majority of the buildings and surrounding area seem to be similar in tone and colour, Ayush. Was this due to your processing or is this how it actually looks like?

Could you feel the Burj Al Khalifa swaying in the wind?

Impressive view, of what seems to be a clean city. Well I wouldn't see a plastic bag from up high smile
