Midtown 7: Shapes & Sizes

Just a reflection on the diversity of the buildings around in Atlanta. The main road at the rear, between the medium and the large building, is the Peachtree Street, which is the artery of Atlanta. The overhead wires got in the way of this shot, but well, that's how they are.

Great shot Ayush! Excellent dichotomy of the new and the old buildings. I know those wires can be a pain, they have ruined many a shot for me.

Hmmmmm! Christian Science? I wonder if this building houses the irrefutable evidence that Life on Earth began just 6000 years ago?
Ayush Basu: I like the way you put it grin No idea though

Despite the wires this is a fine shot Ayush. What varied architecture!

Last year we drove almost the whole stretch of the Peachtree Street. Short of eyes.... absolute beautiful picture, even with the wires.
I've got an Elton John CD somewhere called Peachtree Road. Nice mix of buildings Ayush.

That's the trouble with America; their utility wires leave a lot to be desired. Looks like it's holiday season judging by the decoration on the doors. What a variety of architecture.

This looks like a town worth visiting Ayush.
funny it is very much like the British side of Shanghai, Ayush
Quiet a mixed selection of buildings there Ayush. Sometimes one has to forget about the cables and get on with it.
A wonderful ancient/modern contrast Ayush!
Yes, I remember Atlanta as quite a jumble. Did you see "Driving Miss Daisy" - set in the posher suburb of Atlanta.
Juxtaposition!
Shapes and sizes just about sums it up, Ayush. What a mixture.
Great POV of Ayush, nice bold forms.

I am loving your take on Atlanta, Ayush. It's nothing like the usual view! Thank you.
Ayush Basu: I am very pleased to hear that. I had a memorable time there and I guess it shows through the picturessmile

I think all those wires are to keep the building from running away.

You definitely succeeded with showing the diversity.
Quite a marked contrast between the two styles of architecture, Ayush. The warm tones in the Christian Science building also is in direct contrast to the colder tones in the high-rise. Nicely captured from this angle.
