Midtown 4: Piedmont Park

Okay then, back to Atlanta now. This is the Midtown, Piedmont Park to be exact. A number of new residential and office space high rises have come up here so I assume this Park is a welcome bit of greenery in the the city centre.

While I was strolling around the lake, I watched those birds, fly across the lake and scramble on the boards, wings flapping and scaring the little girl [barely visible, cluthing daddy's legs] out of her wits. Daddy calmed her down, continuing to tear of bits of bread and feeding the birds.

Those birds don't looky scary to me Ayush - just attentive & hungry!
Ayush Basu: A lot of energy was expended in flying across the lake and hauling themselves out of the water and then further shake the water out by flapping their wings smile
Looks like she has almost pulled his trousers down Ayushsmile
Ayush Basu: I think his pants were halfway down from the very beginning Bill grin

The birds look very obedient and hopeful Ayush.
He looks scared too, Ayush.....nice observation smile
I guess they would be intimidating to a small girl.
I can see how she might be frightened by birds of that size, Ayush. They seem to be a bit aggressive in their search for food. Great capture!
Ayush Basu: Their approach too, they flew right from the other end of the lake and swooped on to the landingsmile

I can imagine that they scared the H*** out of that little girl, they are the same height and she does NOT flap her wings.....
Great scene, love it.
Ayush Basu: The birds did get carried away grin Thank you for the visit Astrid
Good shot, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: Thank you very much Tom
He's made some new friends there
Ayush Basu: He's sure to make some new enemies if he doesn't hand over all the bread.
Excellent composition & capture. wink
Ayush Basu: Just about in time grin
Very nicely observed Ayush! He looks scared too...
Ayush Basu: I would be too if I was that close to them, their wing span was gigantic I tell you!

Nice drama here, Ayush.
Ayush Basu: The little girl would have been nice to watch if not hiding behind Daddy. The inquisitive and fearless birds made up for that though
I love how you've caught the birds standing at attention like that, the Daddy calmly about to toss some more bread, and that little hand, seeking comfort...
Ayush Basu: Yes, I agree. Despite the obvious terror, Daddy shielded the girl and let her remain in sight of the birds.
