Stone Mountain Park is around the Stone Mountain, a quartzite dome shaped mountain, in Georgia. Early inhabitants were mostly Native American Indians until explorers took over the mountain for quarrying granite.
Previously this line used to be part of an industrial sector, which gradually disappeared. Later it was resumed as a circular, isolated track for a tourist attraction at Stone Mountain. Then it was connected to the main network as well. Locos used were previously steam, now diesels are used.
For railway aficionados, at some point of time, the charm for steam locomotives was so great, that the train had a defunct steam loco in front, being pushed by a diesel loco masquerading as tender. Even the exhaust of the diesel loco would be diverted to the steam loco.
