photoblog image Savannah City Hall

Savannah City Hall

Taken on a short trip to Savannah, a short 3-4 hour drive, depending upon traffic conditions.

I cannot recall right now why I took a shot at a rakish angle. Nevertheless, the building looked impressively solid, which is why I still posted this.

And may I also wish, Gong Xi Fa Cai [it is the new Chinese Year of the Snake], to anyone who is in the mood for yet another start to the year.

AHA! How did you know we're planning a trip to Savannah when we're back in Atlanta come October! Thanks for the appetizer, Ayuah. I like your POV...and the clock, of course. smile

Oh it's solid & exclusive too Ayush - just look at the gold on the dome
A striking building Ayush with a number of influences in style by the look of it. dort of Victorian/Edwardian classical grin

The flags are half mast, some tragedy must have happened.

The new year was celebrated at a local budhist temple. I didn't go and missed great photo opportunities.
And a Happy New Year to you, too, Ayush - I'm born in the year of the Dog- not a happy combination with a snake, I believe smile
Ayush Basu: I am a 'doggie' myself Tom smile
Quite an impressive structure! Fine capture.

I love the composition and the gold of the dome against the blue sky!
I kind of like your rakish angle!! It's a terrific shot, and a lovely building!
