This twin spired neo-gothic structure was built in 1856 to honour St. Francis Xavier, a 16th-century missionary who extensively worked in Asia for spread of Catholicism. It is located on Jalan Laksamana. It is said to be modelled after the Cathedral of St. Peter in Montpellier, France. Having been around for more than a century, the church’s building is said to be now leaning slightly to the left. It wasn't obvious to me, however.
