Chinese WWII Memorial

It is said that Chengo Ho, Chinese equivalent of Marco Polo and an admiral of the navy, visited Malacca several times. He eventually got a Chinese princess to marry the local Sultan. Along with the princess came her rather large retinue and they settled on a hill known as Bukit Cina. This spot is at the base of Bukit Cina and is dedicated to the Chinese who perished during the Japanese rule of Malacca.

A lovely picture recording what must have been a horrible time
We tend to forget how the Chinese suffered in the run up to and during WW2. It is a very fine memorial Ayush
We don't often get to see Chinese memorials. An interesting shot Ayush
It is very comforting to know that, whatever their regime, the Chinese still remember their war dead with this beautiful memorial.
Quite a nice tribute!
The cloud is amazing.

I guess that only the chinese can read the wording on the column. You have a nice viewpoint on the memorial.
