photoblog image Yellow Mansion

Yellow Mansion

A newly opened budget hotel. It provides dorm bed and double/triple rooms with common bathrooms. Not a sales pitch on behalf of their management, nor did I stay here. But the bright, makes-you-squint-in-bright-sunlight yellow did merit a quick snap, in my opinion.

It is not only the hotel that is yellow - it seems that these people are very fond of yellow. Or they over-produce turmeric.

A great shot to 'feel the town'.
Ayush Basu: I too had a similar feeling Louis
You're finding an amazing array of yellows on this trip!!!
Ayush Basu: That did not escape you, right?smile

What a hotch-potch of architecture here, Ayush
Ayush Basu: I suppose there wasn't much of a public planning division back then
You certainly can't miss it. Would be good for tourists as they would not get lost.
Ayush Basu: Malacca ha a lot of buildings like that
certainly not a building easy to miss.
Ayush Basu: definitely a case of"what you see, is what you get"

Toxic Sulphur ... certainly better than a building in England which is painted a pernicious pink.
Ayush Basu: You have a valid point Richard, thanks for the visit
I like all the aircon units stuck on the wall. Yellowbear would be at home here!!
Ayush Basu: Quite right you are :-D thanks for the comment
That is indeed a striking yellow - I guess there's no danger of a plane strike! smile
Indeed Ayush. One can't miss the hotel!
Ayush Basu: Easy directions for the postman too!
Definitely worth the snap, Ayush - if not the nap smile
Ayush Basu: Couldn't agree with you more smile thank you Tom

No chance of missing it is there? The air con looks like an afterthought. I'm not keen on sharing bathrooms.
