photoblog image Along The Malacca River

Along The Malacca River

Malacca has been a UNESCO designated World Heritage site since 2008. It has a significant bit of recorded history and for long has been a centre for trade and mixing of various cultures.

The above is actually a mural on the exterior of a two storeyed house. Not just one single building, but entire rows of them have been painted in bright colours.

Oh wow! this is fabulous. Let's hope they are safe from some mindless idiot who thinks they could do better with a spray can.
Ayush Basu: I share the exact same thoughts with you. However it seems to have been impressed upon the local population about the importance of this historic belt with respect to the UNESCO Heritage status of Malacca. Thank you for the visit and the comment.

When you come for a visit, just look for the girl in red, with the green umbrella. Easier to provide directions, than with a Tom-Tom smile
Ayush Basu: Very true. In stark contrast to the clusters of twenty plus storeys of public housing jostling for space in Singapore, distinguished only by a block number. smile
