If the glitz of shopping malls was an indicator of a nation's economic health, then India has truly arrived. This mall, also in Kolkata, is in no respect lesser than those in Singapore, Kuala Lumpur or Manila.
Which brings me to the next part: with the same dazzling array of clothing and apparel stores, telecommunication kiosks and cineplexes, cities seem to lose their identity. At least from within these airconditioned confines.
