photoblog image City Stroll

City Stroll

Another shot of some of the high rise residences in Singapore. These are, however, not the affordable, public housing housing estates of Singapore, that house about 80% of the population. These are apartment and condominiums, a stone's throw away from the glitzy shopping districts. I took this shot from a car park, which helped me get a wide view, at the same time avoiding the barrel distortion.

PS: I will be travelling soon and it may be a while before I am back to posting and commenting/ replying to comments.

I remember it well, do you still have the law that restricts driving by whether your number plate is odd or even - which is fine if you have two cars!
Nicely shot!

Handy to have a car park for elevation. I haven't been to Singapore, but I can now imagine a city on stilts. Enjoy your break.
Have a good trip and thanks for the interesting pics of Singapore.

A great view showing these high rises. I guess I'm fortunate to live much closer to ground level and not stacked on top of someone and below someone else. No view, though.
A great shot Ayush, you've brought a life to these sentinels!
Best wishes for your travels smile
A good view of the city Ayush

Rooms with views, no doubt good at night.
I suppose everything has to go up rather than out with Singapore being such a small area.
I can't really imagine living in one of those! Enjoy your trip!
I like the stark contrast between the verdant and the concrete, nice panorama.

This is an excellent view smile
Singapore is looking very much like Shanghai , Beijing, etc these days, or viceversa. Great take Ayush! Global architecture perhaps, bubbles in the horizon....

Its a nice view of your city, Ayush.
I love your view here from up high! The green trees lining the road are wonderful!
Those full leaf trees lining the road really give scale to the high rise buildings, Ayush. Also, shooting the scene from the car park gave you a fantastic vantage point.
Fantastic perspective in this view, which reminds me of a forest of skyscrapers! Wonderful shot!
nice perspective sir.
